I accept

I accept that often I chose
To turn my back on myself and those,
Who love me.

Out of a pain which – I thought – was me.
It took some time to see:
The pain and all I feel and see… is but a thing inside of me.
So how much wider than this pain
Must I be?

All I feel and see: inside of me.

So anything that comes my way:
I’m wide enough to embrace it,
To accept and face it.

To the depths of the oceans, trees,
And Mountains far,
And to the ground beyond your eyes
I can never see.
That is because they are…
You are as wide as me.
